As we are heading into 2025, all eyes are on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is expected to launch in January in coming 2025. Here’s everything you need to know about this most waited Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra.


Launch Date and Pricing

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to launch between January 20 and January 25, 2025. With a price adjustment strategy, Samsung might reduce the MRP by ₹15,000, making it more accessible. However, the base price for the S25 Ultra is expected to increase to ₹1,40,000. While this might seem like a risky move, flagship users are often ready to pay a premium for top-notch performance and features.

Design

While the back panel retains the familiar matte glass finish, the frame has undergone a major redesign. Gone are the completely rounded corners; instead, the device now features flat edges with slightly rounded corners, offering a modern look and improved grip.

Slimmer and Lighter Build

The S25 Ultra is expected to be thinner and lighter:

  • Thickness: Reduced from 8.6mm (S24 Ultra) to 8.2mm
  • Weight: Dropped from 232g to 219g

Despite these changes, key features like the S Pen slot, volume rockers, and power button remain in the same positions for convenience.

 


Display

Samsung continues to push display innovation. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature:

  • Display Size: Increased from 6.8 inches to 6.86 inches with ultra-slim bezels.
  • Anti-Reflective Coating: Ensures better visibility in bright conditions.
  • Resolution: Unchanged but optimized for the larger screen.

 


Performance 

At the heart of the S25 Ultra lies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, offering:

  • 2x faster performance compared to its predecessor.
  • Enhanced efficiency with 3nm architecture, making it both powerful and battery-friendly.

In benchmark tests, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is rumored to score over 2 million points on Antutu, setting new records for smartphone performance.


Battery 

Samsung is rumored to introduce silicon-carbon battery technology in the S25 Ultra. This innovation offers:

  • Higher capacity in a smaller size
  • Battery Capacity: 6,000mAh, up from 5,000mAh in the S24 Ultra
  • Improved power efficiency due to the advanced chipset and display panel

Despite the larger battery, the phone will be slimmer, making it a win-win for users.


Camera 

While most of the camera setup remains the same, there’s a significant upgrade to the ultra-wide lens:

  • Ultra-Wide Camera: Upgraded from 12MP to 50MP
  • Main Camera: 200MP
  • Telephoto: 10MP
  • Periscope Lens: 10MP
  • Front Camera: 12MP

This upgrade promises stunning ultra-wide shots with better detail and clarity.


RAM Options

The Galaxy S25 series will reportedly include four variants:

  1. Galaxy S25
  2. Galaxy S25 Plus
  3. Galaxy S25 Slim
  4. Galaxy S25 Ultra

Additionally, RAM options will vary by storage capacity:

  • 256GB Variant: 12GB RAM
  • 512GB and 1TB Variants: 16GB RAM
